From the outset, the members of Rocklin Bible Church committed themselves to expository, verse-by-verse preaching and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry through the all-sufficient Word of God (Ephesians 4:11-12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). The members also committed themselves to upholding the autonomy of the local church under the authority of God the Father and His Son the LORD Jesus Christ, with local authority vested in a board of elders, duly elected and qualified according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9, and served by deacons qualified according to 1 Timothy 3:8-13.
Rocklin Bible Church also commits itself to obeying the Great Commission, given by the risen LORD Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20, to go and make disciples among all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to trust, obey and further proclaim the Gospel. Acknowledging that God is completely sovereign, all-knowing and all-powerful in all matters of salvation, sanctification, proclamation and judgment (Matthew 11:27; 28:18; John 6:37, 44, 65; Philippians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 20:12-15), the believers of Grace Church of Sacramento give all glory and credit to God for His faithfulness and goodness for all that He has done for the local body.
In addition to the ministries of preaching and teaching, discipling and evangelism, Rocklin bible Church commits itself to training ministers for service in the local church, offering training in preaching, theology, the original biblical languages of Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic, biblical counseling and worship music.

Our local body of believers is united spiritually with the LORD Jesus Christ Who is seated at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. Our church exists on earth to accomplish their will.
The Bible is our authority. The Holy Spirit lives inside of each individual member and teaches, guides, protects and empowers each individual by using the Bible to transform individual thoughts, affections, motivations and actions.
Christ has appointed and equipped men to function as elders to oversee all of the church’s activities. Christ has also appointed and equipped men to function as deacons and women to function as deaconesses to guide specific ministries under the oversight of the elders.
Our church exalts God and Christ in worship through the power of the Holy Spirit and according to the Bible. Our primary means of worship is individual obedience to the Bible in every area of life. Our church baptizes believers when they first believe and gathers regularly at the LORD’s Supper to rejoice in our spiritual, unseen unity with Jesus Christ.
Our church strengthens each individual member through instruction, personal encouragement, exhortation and physical assistance.
Our church teaches and exhorts those outside of the church to submit willingly to the authority of God and Christ. Our church lovingly disciplines church members who reject this authority.

Rocklin Bible Church affirms that the entire purpose of Man is to love God (Matthew 22:37), to demonstrate this tangibly by obeying Him in all things (John 14:15), conforming all individual thoughts and actions so that they are never in violation of His truth (3 John 4), in order to increase in Christlikeness (Ephesians 4:15) with a view to loving our fellow men (Matthew 22:39), especially our fellow believers (Galatians 6:10) and doing all of this willingly with joy (Philippians 4:4).
Rocklin Bible Church affirms that mankind, individually and collectively, has completely failed in this purpose for which God created him and separate from the grace of God in salvation, deserves nothing but eternal punishment in hell (2 Thessalonians 1:9). Man can be reconciled to God, escape the punishment of hell, be assured of eternity in heaven, can love, obey and begin to serve God, can grow in Christlikeness and begin to serve others only by the grace of God granted to him individually in salvation.
Rocklin Bible Church affirms that an individual whom God has elected and transformed by His grace, is now a child of God (Romans 8:16), has the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit, indwelling him permanently (John 14:16), giving him understanding (1 Corinthians 2:14), guiding him in all his decisions (Romans 8:14), empowering him to overcome sin (Romans 8:13), molding him into the image of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18), guaranteeing his physical, bodily resurrection after physical death (Romans 8:11) and manifesting in him the spiritual qualities of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, good, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23) without Whom these qualities are absent from a person. This person is now a full partaker in Christ’s own intimate relationship with God which He has enjoyed with Him from all eternity (1 John 1:3)
Rocklin Bible Church affirms that God saves individuals according to His sovereign choice and by the exercise of His sovereign power. God has made the choice to save those individuals whom He desires to save from before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4). God has predestined these individuals to be the recipients of His eternal grace instead of the recipients of His eternal righteous wrath (Romans 9:22-23). In fulfillment of God’s electing grace from before the foundation of the world, God presents the good news of salvation to those individuals whom He has elected before their physical death (Romans 8:30). Although an elect individual may hear the good news of salvation several times before his spiritual rebirth, at the precise moment which God has determined, the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit, empowers the proclamation of the good news, either through that person reading or hearing, so that the elect person becomes spiritually new and reborn internally (spiritual regeneration), with the result that the person is now a entirely new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). This spiritual transformation manifests itself in that person having a completely new heart (Ezekiel 36:26-27), with an entirely new will, motivations, affections and emotions. This saved and transformed person now hates sin, desires to love, obey and serve God, and is willing to pay any price and sacrifice anything in order to be faithful to his new Lord, the LORD Jesus Christ (John 12:25).
Rocklin Bible Church affirms that the persons whom God has chosen and transformed are now members of the Church, a body of individuals who now love, obey and serve God together through the power and the leading of the Holy Spirit by the grace which God supplies in salvation. God Himself defines the function of each individual in the Body (1 Corinthians 12:18) and the Holy Spirit gives each individual the power, the direction and the capabilities to perform this individual function for the benefit of others in the Body (1 Peter 4:10). Once a person is saved and transformed, that person can never lose his salvation (John 10:28) and has the guaranteed hope of heaven (1 John 5:13). Christ is preparing a place for that person right now in heaven (John 14:2) and prays continually in behalf of him before God in heaven (Hebrews 7:25). God in heaven, Christ, the Eternal High Priest in heaven, and the Holy Spirit within the believer continually guide the saved and transformed believer through the perfect and exclusive truth of the Bible (Psalm 19:7), the exercise of prayer (Romans 8:26), the counsel of individuals in the Church (1 Peter 5:2) and the sovereign, providential action of God (Romans 8:28).

In the Christian life there is the doctrinal, what we think, and the practical, what we do. God communicates very specifically in the Bible regarding doctrine: what His people should think about Him, His world, His will, His plans, His creatures, His judgments, His coming glory, etc. The Statement of Faith is Rocklin Bible Church’s concise summary of what God says His people should think about: His truth (the Bible), Him (God), His salvation, humankind, the Church, Marriage, Government and civic duty, angels, the future and the personal character of a Christian.
Practically, God specifies behavior. More often, God specifies what motivations His people should have and leaves the specific actions to the individual. The Governing Articles is a Church Constitution – it specifies how Rocklin Bible Church governs itself. It embraces what God says about church government in the Bible, and also what the Government of the United States and the State of California require, without contradiction.
Rocklin Bible Church prays for peace: that the government never mandates a Christian to disobey God or conscience (1 Timothy 2:2).

Church Membership as a specific phrase does not occur in the Bible. However, Church membership represents a vital biblical principle. One who desires church membership desires to receive biblical shepherding and counsel, to make a special commitment to a specific church, and to submit to the loving leadership of that church. Church membership indicates maturity and fosters spiritual growth. Church members renounce the desire to act independently, selfishly, unbiblically or defiantly with regard to the other members and the church leadership. One who refuses church membership may need to reform his spiritual motivations.
Membership is for believers in good standing. Unbelievers are ineligible. Believers who receive membership must have no unresolved sin issues. Members who refuse to resolve sin issues receive church discipline, which may involve the revocation of membership and forfeiture of all relationships with those in the church. One who is excluded from the church may be an unbeliever, or a believer who needs to repair his relationship with God and His people. A person under discipline may reenter the church when he repents. One who never repents was most likely never a Christian.
Membership means commitment to one local church. Membership in more than one local church is not practicable. Church members in good standing may terminate or change their membership for various reasons.
